Abstract

This article describes the problems you may encounter when using RADE tools in IBM Rational Software Development Platform (IRAD) and the corresponding workarounds.

CAA Plug-ins are not Displayed or Do Not Work Properly

CAA Plug-ins are not Displayed or Do Not Work Properly

Sometimes, when RADE tools are installed on top of Rational IDE, CAA plug-ins are not displayed. To enable CAA plug-ins:

Create a temporary directory.
Move all CAA plug-ins installed for the Rational product from INSTALL_RATIONAL\7.0\eclipse\plugins\com.dassault_systemes.* to this temporary directory.
Launch RAD and RSA - clean.
Launch Rational IDE. CAA plug-ins are not referenced any longer.
Move back CAA plug-ins from the temporary directory to INSTALL_RATIONAL\7.0\eclipse\plugins.
Launch Rational IDE. CAA plug-ins are still not displayed.
Exit Rational IDE and re-launch a second time. CAA plug-ins are displayed.
